BIO-SKETCH: Chinese Broadcast Ministry — Rev. Jimmy Lin was brought up in a non-Christian family. Soon after his conversion he started teaching in a high school in Hong Kong where he was able to share the gospel with a lot of students. His wife Doris was also the first Christian in her family. Rev. Jimmy Lin and his wife have two sons Timothy (22) and Samuel (18). The Lord brought Rev. Jimmy Lin back to his contacts with the Back To God Hour that started while in seminary. He came to Chicago in 1990. THE WORK: Rev. Lin uses radio, literature, CDs, cassettes and the internet to reach out to the Chinese speaking people of all ages around the world. Most of the people living in China have a yearning to know more about the outside world and the BTGH programs like “Eye On The World” and “English World” are especially welcomed. Those living outside China struggle with issues of generation gaps, marriages, education and being in a new culture and using a different language. For those people the BTGH’s new program “Listen To My Heart” is especially relevant. There has been a continuous increase in the mail responses, but they are most excited about the internet. The internet is helping to reach people living in areas where their programs cannot be heard. They have an average of over 12,000 regular users per month. email Rev.
